Vintage original 8 x 10 in. US single-weight glossy photograph from the 1970s adventure/drama, HURRICANE, released in 1979 by Paramount Pictures and directed by Jan Troell, about the desperate love affair between a young Samoan chief and an American painter, against the will of her father. Amid this man-made tension comes a hurricane so devastating, the lives of the lovers and the entire island are imperiled. The image depicts an exterior shot of "The Hotel Marara, which Dino De Laurentiis built on Bora Bora when he found there was no place to house his cast and crew for "Hurricane". It cost $4.5. million." Affixed to the verso is the original paper snipe that describes the image.
