Vintage original 11x14 in. US lobby card from the 1930's pilots-themed action/adventure comedy/drama, LEGION OF LOST FLYERS, released in 1939 by Universal Pictures and directed by Christy Cabanne. A group of pilots, because of unsavory or unearned reputations, establish an outpost squadron of their own, led by "Loop" Gillian, running charter-flights and hauling supplies in the frozen wastelands of Alaska. The operation does not go without misadventures, foul-ups, and a bit of treachery tossed in. The cast includes Richard Arlen, Andy Devine, Anne Nagel, William Lundigan, Guinn "Big Boy" Williams, Ona Munson, Jerry Marlowe, Leon Aames, and Theodore von Eltz. The image features a shot of the men trying to break-up a fight between Richard Arlen (left), being restrained by Guinn "Big Boy" Williams, and William Lundigan (center), who is restrained by Leon Aames, as Andy Devine and Theodore von Eltz watch. It is unrestored in good- condition only with corner pinholes and one pinhole in the center of the top and bottom borders; a chip on the top right corner; paper loss on the center of the right border; and a 1 in. diagonal crease with signs of wear on the bottom left corner. The rich color tints are fresh and vibrant without any signs of fading. Great GAY INTEREST in this one with hunky guys and tough guys!
