Vintage original 8.5 x 12 in. US single-weight glossy photograph from the 1970s historical family-themed television mini-series, THE BEST OF FAMILIES: AN AMERICAN DRAMA 1880-1900. Drama set in late 19th-century America, following the lives of three families - one wealthy, one middle-class, and a family of poor Irish immigrants. The cast includes Peter Burnell, Julia MacKenzie, Ed Meyer, Nick Wyman, Guy Boyd, William Carden, Alice Drummond, George Ede, Jill Eikenberry, and Peter Evans. The image features violence as it erupts when strikers attack a trolley car in a "...dramatic re-enactment of an 1895 labor-management conflict. Affixed to the bottom of the verso and which folds around to the recto is the original paper snipe that describes the image. It is in very fine- condition as shown.
