Oxalis palmifrons are a low-growing perennial with stunning foliage, which is quite unlike any other Oxalis. The slow-spreading patch of ground-hugging rosettes spreads up to 2 feet (60 cm) in 10 years. Each symmetrical rosette is composed of glaucous green, 3-dimensional, miniature palm-like leaves. This plant is a winter grower that does not emerge until late fall, when it is topped with stalks of light pink flowers held just above the foliage.
