A nice collectible vintage sewing item. It was purchased by my mother in the late 1950s or very early 1960s. Original Dexter Sewing Machine. Made in U.S.A. Very good condition. Comes with original instruction booklet, plastic carry case and two vintage wood thread spools. Machine is made of hard plastic. Measures approximately 4-1/4" long by 4" tall and 1-1/2" deep. "Patent Pending-Dexter Sewing Machine Co." molded into the plastic base. Carry case is made from a flexible brown plastic with snap closure. Small 14-page instruction booklet. Booklet is complete, but does have some storage wear. I would estimate the year 1957. This was a mail ordered item, either advertised in a magazine or possibly an ad on television at that time.
