The will work on our porcelain sockets (use the Large Lipped Porcelain socket for the best fit), they will mount to our brass sockets (but only on the large nut which is about 1-1/2" diameter, the neck of most brass sockets will be too small at 1-1/4"!!), and will probably work on most plastic, bakelite or phenolic sockets as well. They will hold a 2-1/4" necked shade with their adjustable screws. Sockets are sold separately, see the Sockets section of our store.
