Planting Tips: For optimal germination, soak the seeds for 24 hours before planting To plant emerald okra seeds, you need to: Start inside in May, 2-3 weeks before transplanting outside. Plant 3-4 seeds per cell, 1/4? deep. Germination happens faster at 80-90 (use a heating mat). Thin to 1 plant per cell before transplanting (cut, don?t pull). Soak okra seeds in tepid water several hours before you plant them. Sow okra seeds oe to 1 inch (2.5cm) deep; sow seeds 3 to 6 inches (15cm) apart. Space rows 24 to 36 inches (61-91cm) apart.
