It is commonly found in maritime Southeast Asian countries, especially Brunei, Malaysia and Singapore. Nona Lemang is wrapped with High Density Polyethylene Perforated Food Grade plastic. This bag can be withstand temperature up to to 106C and complies with FDA regulation 21 CFR 177.1750. It also complies with Malaysia Food Act (Act 281) and Regulation (20th June 2003). Ensure water level covers all the lemang packets. Add coconut flavoured powder into the water and stir the Nona Lemang for a while. Turn to middle flame and cook for 45 minutes.
