Creation: He was created by a group of Earth scientists called the Enclave in a secret lab called the Beehive. Their goal was to build the perfect human, whom they simply named Him. Rebirth as Adam Warlock: Upon awakening, he rejected his creators as flawed and escaped into space. There, he met the High Evolutionary (a character he is deeply tied to), who gave him a new name and purpose: Adam Warlock. The Evolutionary also gave him the Soul Gem (which would later become the Soul Stone).
