AeroChamber Plus Spacer Device The Aerochamber Plus is a medical device designed to help improve delivery of medication from an inhaler (puffer) to your lungs. It helps overcome some of the problems many people have using their inhaler correctly. Suitable for adults and children aged 5 years and over. How to use the AeroChamber - Before use, ensure the Aerochamber has been cleaned. - Remove protective cap from mouthpiece of both the Aerochamber and inhaler. - Insert mouthpiece of inhaler into the inhaler port of the Aerochamber . - Exhale normally and place the mouthpiece of the Aerochamber in the mouth between your front teeth and close lips tightly around the mouthpiece for an effective seal. Ensure your tongue remains flat and doesn't obstruct the mouthpiece. - Depress inhaler once and inhale slowly and deeply through the mouth until a full breath has been taken followed by a 5-10 second breath hold if possible. Wait for 30 seconds if dose needs to be repeated. - The AeroChamber may need to be replaced after 12 months of use. Cleaning Instructions - Clean the Aerochamber once a week or sooner if necessary. Regular cleaning prevents powder accumulation inside the Aerochamber. - Remove the back rubber piece from the device. - Soak both parts for about 15 minutes in luke warm water with mild liquid detergent and shake gently. - Shake off excess water but importantly do not rub dry the Aerochamber. - Air dry in a vertical position. - Replace back rubber piece when completely dry.
