America's War on Poverty - Promotional Public Television Series (PBS) Poster. Program series aired January 16-18, 1995. The poster depicts citizens of Cumberland, Maryland at a rally in support of President Lyndon B. Johnson's War on Poverty when he came to the town in May, 1964 to promote the federal program as Congress was debating anti-poverty legislation. Original vintage 22 x 17 one-sided color poster printed on heavyweight stock. Condition: This is an original, authentic poster created for promotional purposes. It is not a reproduction. It is in mint condition. It comes carefully rolled in a shipping tube. Comments: This poster indicates the program was produced by Blackside, Inc. and presented on PBS by WGBH, Boston. It came from the discarded inventory of a Maine television station.
