This is a UNIQUE, Hard-To-Find, ANTIQUE, EXCELLENT Condition, Hand Crafted "Cobalt Blue Glazed Porcelain Ceramic Moriage Slip Work Dragon Design Perfume Medicine Snuff Bottle" handmade in China in the early-1700s. My friend's Uncle purchased this WONDERFUL Snuff Bottle in Hong Kong after World War II. He was told at that time that it dated to around 1719. Displayed inside a glass cabinet as part of a Snuff Bottle collection, it was packed away in 2008 while his vast estate was being settle. My friend inherited many of his antiques and doesn’t have room for them, so I’m helping her sell them. As is typical of many Snuff Bottles, the Handle that had the spoon attached was broken so it acts as a stopper instead. Otherwise, it is in EXCELLENT Condition with NO odors, chips, cracks, crazing or other damage; it comes from a smoke-free, pet-free home. Hand glazed and decorated with a raised Moriage, slip work Dragon, this Decorative Snuff Bottle has a height of approximately 3 5/8th inches and a diameter of approximately 1 1/2 inches; it is NOT Marked. With a graceful shape and a nicely detailed Moriage Dragon, it was ENTIRELY hand decorated in a Cobalt Blue Glaze full of fluidity by a SUPERBLY talented Chinese artist who has created a DELIGHTFUL and HANDSOME Bottle. The OUTSTANDING workmanship has WONDERFUL texture and flowing lines, making this Snuff Bottle a truly UNIQUE work of Chinese Folk Art that is quite ELEGANT! A HANDSOMELY BEAUTIFUL, painstakingly crafted Slip Art Dragon is climbing up the side of this Snuff Bottle.
