Descripción del Artículo

This is an Antique Native American Sheep?s Horn Scoop. There are two places of damage that are shown in the 2nd and 3rd pictures. Please see my photos for a better idea of the state of the item. Please let me know if you have any questions or want more pictures! A Native American sheep horn scoop, often referred to as a "horn spoon," is a traditional utensil crafted from the horn of a mountain sheep, primarily used by tribes in the Northwest Coast region of North America; these spoons were carved and shaped to create a bowl for eating soups and stews, with the design often incorporating intricate carvings and decorations reflecting the cultural motifs of the tribe that made it; the readily available supply of mountain sheep horns made them a convenient material for creating practical and aesthetically pleasing utensils.
