For resistance to corrosion, this valve is made of bronze and its ball and stem are made of stainless steel 316. This valve is a full port for reduced friction; its inner diameter is the same as the inner diameter of the pipe it connects to for maximum operating efficiency. The maximum pressure is 600 pounds per square inch (gauge) (psi) for cold working pressure (CWP) and 150 for steam working pressure (SWP). The valve is inline for connecting two pipes going in the same direction and has solder end connections for semi-permanent yet reversible connection to tubing. It has a zinc-plated steel lever handle with a vinyl sleeve for manual on/off control. Multifill polytetrafluoroethylene (MPTFE) seats and seals reduce the risk of valve leakage.
