Signature: None Design: Nautilus Shell. Material: Glass Technique: Hand Blown Glass. Condition: Used in Good Condition. No cracks, crazing, fleabites, scratches or repairs. There is one good sized chip on the bottom rim to the right of the trunk but it is hard to see and doesn't show when sitting on a surface. A couple of tiny chips in areas also on the bottom rim but again very hard to see unless looking for them. None of these mar the beauty of this piece. This is a delightful Art Glass Elephant. It looks a bit cartoonish in the face but cute, especially the eyes. It is created in cased glass with white, black, clear, and tan accents. Some areas of the tan actually give the impression of melted caramel or molasses in it's rich color. There is a rippled looking texture to the inner glass which creates points of interest all around the body of the elephant. The clear glass ears have been applied separately along with the two color eyes. Only a few bubbles can be seen in the glass and the trunk swings downward from the face, and back again towards the legs. The bottom looks like it is open inside but it has a sealed glass bottom and is not open. Can be used as a design accent, a curio or a paper weight (it has a substantial weight to it).
