This is for a genuine RoIex Submariner copper and brass diving helmet window display. These helmets were part of the RoIex dive watch ad campaign "At One With The Sea." This is for the helmet only. Nothing else is included. Other images here show examples of RoIex ads, a larger window display, and a watch(not included). This is in beautiful shape and has aged nicely. It has a minor light ding or two but nothing significant. These could easily be tapped out from the inside. Any uneven shading/discoloring is just a matter of polishing if desired. It's all character. I would leave it alone but that is up to you. Note that there were two versions of these helmets. This version was for the North American market. The European version is the same except it has a grate over the front porthole window. *The features of an authentic RoIex dive helmet in either version include window grates that are very very very low profile, almost flat. This is one of the biggest tells. If the grates push out any farther than what you see here then it is not authentic. The individual bars across each grate also have flat sides. They are not rounded bars or squared bars or flat thin strips. Each grate also has a groove ring all the way around it. Also note the single jaw-valve fixture on the front right of the helmet and the movable plunger stem piece(often missing) in the middle of the right rear fixture. Finally the two rivets on each of the shoulder lugs(2 at the front, 2 at the back) barely stick up. The non-genuine helmets often have pronounced ball shaped heads on the rivets. Impostors only have some of these design elements but they don't have all of them. 99% of the helmets that pass through are brass curios made in India.
