I began dealing in art and fine antiques in 1980, and these beautiful prints were on of my earliest purchases. They have graced my home ever since. Albert Bertel Thorvaldsen (19 November 1770 – 24 March 1844) was a Danish and Icelandic sculptor and medalist of international fame, who spent most of his life (1797–1838) in Italy. These are two of his most iconic creations. The Angels, Day and Night. The images are wonderful and the framing superb. Newspaper behind the backing is dated 1897.
