Simtokha Dzong on reverse. Printer: Giesecke Devrient, Germany Simtokha Dzong ('dzong' means "castle-monastery") also known as Sangak Zabdhon Phodrang (Bhutanese language meaning: "Palace of the Profound Meaning of Secret Mantras") is a small dzong built in 1629 by Zhabdrung Ngawang Namgyal, who unified Bhutan. It is the first of its kind built in Bhutan. 2nd image is note viewed under UV (ultraviolet) light showing security inks. Ngultrum = Pronounced as "Engultrum" means "silver" in Dzongkha a Tibetan language. See my other notes from this country. Image not exact note in lot.
