Canada 1976 Christmas Stamp Set ? Stained Glass Windows
Scott Catalog #697, 698, 699
Issued on November 3, 1976, this three-stamp set celebrates the Nativity through vibrant stained glass window designs from Canadian churches. Each stamp features a unique depiction of the Christmas story rendered in multicoloured detail.
Stamp #697 (8) shows the Nativity scene from St. Michael?s Cathedral in Toronto, created in 1912 by Franz Mayer Co. of Munich.
Stamp #698 (10) features a stained glass window from St. John?s Church in Wolfville, Nova Scotia.
Stamp #699 (20) displays a window from St. James Cathedral in Toronto.
Printed by Ashton-Potter Ltd., the stamps have perforation measurements of 13.3 and tagging type GT2 (general tagging on two opposite edges).
Mint Never Hinged. Original gum intact.
A beautiful addition for collectors of Christmas themes, religious art, or Canadian commemoratives.
