The Swiss pattern teeth are double-cut for rapid material removal, with high precision for work on delicate or intricate parts. The files have a coarseness grade of 0 for a medium-smooth finish. The built-in handle of each file is round and knurled for a secure grip. The set comes in a vinyl pouch for storage. Hand files are used to remove material and smooth and shape workpieces. They have forward-facing cutting teeth and cut when pushed over either a stationary or rotating workpiece. Single-cut teeth are single rows cut diagonally across the width of the file.
