First Steam-Driven Steerable Airship
2" Oval. Manufacturer failed to enamel inside lid in one spot close to rim. Enamel painting in excellent condition on outside.
Decorated base with "To Commemorate the flight of the first steam-driven, steerable airship designed by Henri Gifford in September 1852".
Inside Lid: "The airship moved ahead, leaving behind a trial of white steam"
Lid has a flaw inside left area near the rim.
There is an un-enameled spot that shows up as a green spot.
Hinged lid. Not 2nd hand in good but, not excellent condition with presentation case.
