This bowl is depression glass but I have never seen this color before. It is a deep butterscotch color with black around the rim and a black bottom. I always used it as a fruit bowl. At one time it had matching candle sticks which accomodated tapers but my cat broke one of them. From rim to rim it is 10 inches across and is about 4 inches high. It appears to be ribbed but the ribbing is on the underside. Most of the bowls I have seen shaped like this people call mixing bowls but this bowl has a lip around it and I know it is really a decorative bowl like part of a centerpiece.
