We purchased a battery for testing purposes, and item works. Speaker is not "big powerful" as advertising claimed on box; however, the sound is clear, albeit low (as shown in video). As shown in photos, this item includes an Eveready Super Heavy Duty 6V Spring Lantern Battery is included. See instructions inside amplifier to connect battery. Easily slide out front of amplifier to access battery location/installation. When turning item off on, you may hear static from the volume control knob (as shown in video). We put microphone next to a cellphone speaker in order for you to hear music playing from amplifier speaker. Music not included. Item is stored in a climate-controlled/smoke-free environment. TESTED WORKING. Original item and original box have dings, dents, stains, scratches throughout. Amplifier turns off and on. When turning item off on, you may hear static through speaker coming from the volume control knob. Microphone and speaker work. Microphone screen is loose, but can be glued into position, if desired. Some edges of item are loose; however, item is intact. Item and box have shelf-wear. Battery is new (we used to test item) but removed from original packaging. To install the battery, gently pull baffle (black front face of "Donny Marie" unit) away from the red case. Once the unit is open, you will see the ends of two wires. The red wire is connected to the positive (+) terminal of the battery. The other wire is connected to the negative (-) terminal of the battery. The stripped ends of the wires are merely slipped in the appropriate coil spring terminals. The entire battery is retained in the corner of the inside of the baffle by two positioning clips permanently fastened on the flaps of the baffle. Slowly and gently re-install the baffle into the case. Tip: For proper operation of your unit, it is important that you stand a full microphone cord length away (about 10 feet) from the speaker. Due to outside interference or by placing the microphone too close to the speaker, you may experience noise, static and/or squealing noise from the unit's speaker. If this happens, adjust the volume control until the noise subsides and/or move in a different direction of unit.
