Door / Polly Catch is specifically designed to operate in conjunction with door jambs ranging from 1/8" thru 5/16" thick. When bonding the Door Catch to either acrylic or polycarbonate any of the methylene chloride based cements will give a very clear, strong and durable fusion type bond. The simplest method of attaching the Poly Catch is to place a drop of the bonding agent on either the base of the Poly Catch or the centre of the opposite surface, align and join both surfaces together. Set up should be just a matter of seconds but allow time for a full cure before using. For best results; Jambs should have at least a 1/16" chamfer (bevelled) to insure proper function. Locate the Poly Catch in respect to the door jamb thickness. Depending on the door jamb thickness a proper diameter hole can also be used to serve as the door jamb itself allowing the Poly Catch to flex through the hole and grip the jamb snugly from behind. The hole diameters, listed in the chart below, allows the Poly Catch to grip the corresponding door jamb thickness snugly.
