Beeswax is an all natural and eco-friendly substitute for petroleum-based waxes. Brown beeswax in particular is a hard wax that stays in hives for long periods. Besides nectar it also accumulates some pollen oils and propolis residues. This gives it an earthy/woody scent with honey nuances.
