It allows you to use a household AC device in the car. The wiring harness and the AC outlet itself are not included, but they are available in another listing. The mounting brackets are not included but are available. (You should already have them, since we're selling this for exact replacement...) This has never been in a vehicle. It was removed from an assembly line leftover console. However, it was stored with the black side down and got scratched up as a result. It's not seen after install and has no bearing on functionality, obviously. This listing is for the item pictured only.
