GOLF TARGET MIRROR INSTRUCTIONS The Golf Target Mirror has a ball location recess and four clear lines on its face. The following instructions will help the user gain a repetitive putting setup to ensure consistent putting results. The ball recess is created so that the ball, when centred in the recess, is located accurately to ensure correct contact with the putter face when aligned using the mirror as detailed below. The two red lines, target line (TL) and face alignment line (FAL) are key to obtaining the correct setup prior to commencing the putt. Firstly identify your target, be it the back of the hole, or, if you are looking at a breaking putt, the break point i.e. The point where the ball reaches the maximum point of the arc before heading towards the hole. Once identified, align the TL to this point (and check from behind the mirror to ensure the TL is correctly aligned). Once the red TL is in the correct position, the red FAL will be at 90 deg to the target which is important as the putter face should always be square to the target line at impact. A square putter face at address will increase the chance of it being square at impact. The black alignment lines (EPL) on the mirror act as a reference for the eye and head positions. There are two of these so that it can be used by both right and left handed golfers. The only black EPL that matters when looking down at the mirror is the line nearest to the user's body i.e. the inside black EPL. This is because nearly all great putters and teaching professionals agree that the eye, and consequently the head position, should either be over the ball or inside the putter head whilst putting. This reference line also helps the user ensure that the head stays motionless throughout the putting stroke. With regular practice and more holed putts, the user will gain an understanding of the best position for the eyes, be it either directly over the ball or just inside. The reverse side of the mirror has a distinctive target decal that enables it to act as a hole size target to putt towards if used indoors or if no suitable hole location is available. The mirror has been designed to easily fit into a golf bag pocket and can be used as a final check before the round begins. NB. The Golf Target Mirror should not be used at any time during a competitive round of golf as the Rules of Golf do not permit this. SINGLE MIRROR Firstly identify your target, be it the back of the hole, or, if you are looking at a breaking putt, the break point i.e. The point where the ball reaches the maximum point of the arc before heading towards the hole.
