I’ve always enjoyed Halloween from way back when I was a kid, dressing up like a glamor girl ? to making my own costumes when I got a bit older to walking my own kids around the block to having pumpkin cutting contests with my husband! But most of all, I love to decorate for this fun holiday! I adore the color orange and it is added into my home decor easily. But for this wreath, I omitted the orange all together and went with this straight black and (off) white fabric and ribbons. I was so excited to find this fabric pattern! The “tightness “ of the items on the fabric lends for the perfect SooBoo Designs wreath! This wreath is loaded with all the ghoulish things one would think of during Halloween. There is the black background and the GLOW IN THE DARK white characters are of bats, spiders, spider webs, black cats in white full moons, skulls, scary carved pumpkins and hair raised cats and also rickety picket fences, ghosts, crows, tombstones, witch hats and poison bottles, dripping Zombie hands...add a few stars and lightning bolts in there for good measure! This is a LOT of fun! The night I made it, I let the light shine on it and before I went up to bed and the lights were all turned out, I saw this fantastical glow in the dark wreath. I held it up against the wall and was just so excited about it! What a cute, cute design! The ribbons used range in width, pattern and texture. There are stripes, checks, and solid and polka dot, in ruffled edges to grosgrain to satin and organza. The ribbons add a great deal to these SooBoo Designs wreaths. The colors are coordinated perfectly! This wreath can also be used as a spooky centerpiece! Lay it flat on your table or buffet and insert a glass hurricane and fill with plastic spiders, candy corn, unpopped popcorn with a candle in the center, or just fill with Halloween candy!
