The hourly chime functions and strikes the correct number of times, but the half-hour chime is inconsistent and doesn?t always perform as it should. The clock hands are slightly warped and occasionally catch on each other, which may affect accurate timekeeping. I?m not a clock expert, so I can?t say for certain what?s needed?but for someone more knowledgeable, this could be a relatively quick and simple fix.
