This exquisite 61-piece silverplate flatware set in the Lovely Lady pattern by Holmes Edwards was gifted to my grandparents in 1948 as a wedding present. It has been lovingly preserved in its original wooden case with velvet lining and includes a full 8-place setting plus serving pieces and a rare baby spoon and fork set. Pattern: Lovely Lady (Introduced 1937) Material: Silverplate with inlaid sterling in high-wear areas Era: Circa 1948 Condition: Excellent vintage condition. All pieces are clean and bright with minimal signs of use. The baby spoon and fork show light tarnish. The original wooden box has some wear on the edges and corners. The set was polished annually but never used?my grandmother insisted it was ?too nice to eat with,? a sentiment my mom still laughs about today.
