Descripción del Artículo

The Buffalo nickel, officially known as the Indian head nickel, is a five-cent coin struck by the United States Mint from 1913 to 1038. Renowned sculptor James Earle Fraser designed the coin as part of the U.S. Mint's drive to spice up American coins. The Buffalo nickels were struck at San Francisco, Denver and Philadelphia. The coins feature a Native American Indian on the obverse and a bison on the reverse. These coins wore out 3x faster than its predecessor, the Liberty Head Nickel. The coin was discontinued in 1938 to make way for the Jefferson nickel. Shipping is $4.95 to anywhere in the USA. International shipping rates apply. Shipping is always combined on multiple purchases.
