They have interesting and unusual experiences and meet some amusing, lovable characters. This is the author's only known novel (unless "Jane Winters" is a pseudonym), scarce and out of print, in the very scarce original dust jacket. Only light corner and spine wear, with very light cover marking and small stain. Light bottom edge bumping on some pages, modest page toning, foxing on title page and some blank pages; bookplate and brief Christmas inscription (dated "1935", though copyright page shows only "1928"). Overall, though, a rather handsome copy. The jacket has spine end chipping (somewhat affecting the lettering at the top), general tearing and raggedness along the edges and tears and some other wear on the folds. A desirable item for many collectors of vintage juvenile fiction.
