Descripción del Artículo

THE EXPLOITS OF ARSENE LUPIN by Maurice Leblanc Harper Brothers, April 1915 Condition: Very Good+ LeBlanc was perhaps the first significant French mystery writer of the 20th century, and his detective Arsene Lupin was one of the first to be seriously compared to Sherlock Holmes. This is his first book, containing nine stories, including a parody of Holmes. This copy has a tight binding and unmarked text. There are two bookplates and some writing on the front endpapers. Exterior flaws are modest: some cover staining and slight corner/spine wear. No dust jacket. The date of publication was determined from a code on the copyright page -- this is a fairly early printing of the uncommon Harper's edition which first appeared in 1907.
