A lovely simple vintage brooch in sterling silver signed and handcrafted by Leonore Doskow of the Doskow Co., New York, NY, founded in 1931 by Leonore Doskow and incorporated in 1933 as Leonore Doskow, Inc. The firm was active in the arts and crafts movement of the earlier 1900s, working with both sterling and gold. In the 1930s Leonore Doskow designed an alphabet which is the hallmark of the monogram jewelry for which the company is so justly proud and famous. If you have these initials, what a great find!
