Pair of vintage Walt Disney World brochures, both dated 1979. 1: Walt Disney World Vacationer's Guide. Foldout brochure with a rough map on the reverse, depicting the Magic Kingdom and its surrounding resorts, hotels, and campground. Other side offers details about park hours, ticketing, and prices. CONDITION: general wear from handling. 2: "Your complete guide to the Walt Disney World Vacation Kingdom, Compliments of Polaroid." 28 page stapled booklet (plus cover) detailing each land's restaurants, shops, and attractions (and the tickets required for each.) Contains two maps in the center (the one not pictured is basically identical to the one in the Vacationer's Guide), one page each dedicated to Fort Wilderness, Polynesian Village, Golf Resort, Contemporary Resort, Lake Buena Vista, plus pages of tips, transportation schedule, and additional info. The back cover has an ad for three new Disney movies (the long-forgotten UFO, an Apple Dumplin' sequel, and the animation masterpiece 101 Dalmatians) and on the back, you are invited to borrow a Polaroid camera for free, just pay for the film. (Incredible marketing IMO!) CONDITION: complete with no tears but significant wear, including some pen marks. Someone has X-ed attractions in most of the sections, and on the map as well, which are especially hard to see - please examine the map photo closely! The staples are a tad loose, specifically for the map page in the very center - it is very much intact but if you are careless with it, that will change. This was folded in half at some point to fit in someone's pocket or purse, and some corners are creased/bent. Still, lots of nice details/info to be gleaned and a VERY fun look back at an icon of American culture.
