In following up on his 1997 release, Lust for Wanda, the New York based Teamaker spins wild, and sometimes disturbing, stories against a wall of melodic pop thats a hybrid of the Beatles, CSNY, Todd Rundgren, early 70s California rock and the alt/brit/pop of Neil Finn and Elvis Costello. Yet, theres no one box that he fits in perfectly. Simply put, while theres a scent of influence wafting around Teamaker, hes too complex to be anyone but himself. His hand inside a bucket of hornets. His ankle in a trap. And Marc Teamaker is happy. Understand? Teamakers thought process is more like a jigsaw puzzle in which the pieces dont exactly fit. His mind is a joyride.
