Shippo Yaki (Japanese wireless cloisonne) made by the artisans at Tutanka in the city of Kitakushu. Tutanka produced some of the best Japanese Shippo Yaki in the Mid-Century era. Shippo Yaki, the Japanese expression for cloisonne, is a highly developed art product which is completely handmade by skilled artisans. Shippo is made through the repeated process of glazing beautiful water glass on precious metals using intense heat. The term ?Shippo? comes from a Buddhist sutra. The name means ?Seven Heavenly Treasures? which are gold silver, emerald, coral, agate, pearl and crystal. Because of the glittering beauty comparable to these precious metals and stones, it is called ?Shippo? Flat rate US shipping is 9.00 Consignor - EASE Payment Payments are accepted through PayPal.
