I traded notes with a fine fellow from Mongolia - I sent him Mongo notes among others! It seems the notes saw no or little circulation in country. Probably made for a coinage shortage, then not used or used sparingly. The Mongo notes have a national sporting theme. Horse racing, archery and Mongolian wrestling are the most widely watched and practiced sports throughout the country.
