The Monterey cypress tree is a picturesque evergreen conifer that grows quickly and is very easy to care for. While they’re endemic to coastal California, they can be grown in many parts of the country. Monterey cypress can be used as a hedge or wind screen, and works well in Mediterranean and coastal gardens. They’re also a very popular specimen for bonsai.
