Descripción del Artículo

1991-1995 W.W.II $0.50 https://www.ngccoin.com/certlookup/3557054-032/70/ Weight: 11.34grams Metal: 75% Copper, 25% Nickel over a pure Copper center Designer: George Klauba/Bill J. Leftwich Mintage: 197,072 Edge: Reeded Diameter: 30.60mm Mint: Philadelphia The 1993 World War II Half Dollars were produced in order to commemorate the 50th Anniversary of when World War II took place. Obverse: The obverse of the coin displays a large V towards the middle of the image, which stands for Victory. Over the letter V, and to the far left is a portrait of female military nurse, a sailor's portrait in the middle and finally a soldier on the far right. Above the three individuals is a large military aircraft. On top of the design are five stars. To the right of the design are the words in God We Trust and the years 1991-1995. To the left of the design is the word Liberty. Reverse: The reverse of the coin depicts a soldier in action. The soldier is laying on his stomach and on his knees, similar to a sniper position. To his left is a large military vessel approaching the battle ground. In the sky there is a small fighter aircraft flying towards the battle ground. Arched above the reverse are the words, United States of America. Below the reverse design are the words, E Pluribus Unum and the words, Half Dollar, or the denomination of the coin. Overview: The 1993 World War II Half Dollars were produced in 1993. However, since World War II took place from 1941-1945, the coins display the dates 1991-1995 to commemorate the 50th Anniversary of these years. The Mint produced an Uncirculated and Proof version of this Half Dollar design. It also produced an Uncirculated and Proof Silver Dollar. Finally, it also produced an Uncirculated and Proof $5 gold coin, to remember this historic event.
