It is in very good condition, with the only sign of wear being some light surface scratches, although I am unsure of the age or origins of the clip, or of its actual gold content, if any. It is 2” long and about .5” wide, and only about 1/16” or less thick, and would be great for clipping a collar closed at the top, or clipping the back of a dress to make it fit more snugly. It is a great, useful item to have on hand.
