Additionally referred to as the Upper Left Door Hinge Cam Riser, this component is a plastic hinge affixed to the refrigerator door's top. The hinge ingeniously elevates the door slightly upon opening. This minimizes strain on the hinges and enhances the door's open-close mechanism. To replace this part, remove the door hinge cover located at the unit's top, followed by the upper hinge, allowing the door to be lifted off the unit. For freezer-side replacements, disconnect the water line prior to door removal. Upon door removal, it is recommended to lay it on a blanket to prevent scratches.
