Descripción del Artículo

Note: Buy with confidence. I've been an employee for 10 years and I have 100% positive Feedback. This rare, vintage one-of-kind Judaica is a functional Rabbi Wine Decanter carefully crafted and signed by renowned artist Hope DeMarco. Mrs. DeMarco made a limited number of these in her Berkeley, California, studio in the late 1970s before she moved on to creating other types of pottery because these were so labor-intensive and expensive to make. It has been packed away in my care for decades along with one other similar handmade original I purchased at the time. The rabbi exhibits lifelike details from his creased forehead, to the lines and fingernails in his hands, to the gold fringes on the Torah cover, to the silver pointer and Torah plate, to his blue striped Tallis. And of course he’s wearing a yarmulke. This sculptured work is food safe and fully functional as lead-free glazes were employed. The rabbi’s head serves as a wine-stopper for the decanter; it is attached to a fixed cork. Height: 13” Width: 5 3/4” Base: 4 3/4” Depth: 5”. Suitable to display as art behind glass, to use during the High Holidays, Hanukkah, Passover, or any occasion, or to give as a wedding present the recipients will never forget.
