It is her loose interpretation of what Saint Juan Diego must have seen when Our Lady appeared to him.The image of Our Lady of Guadalupe appeared miraculously on the cloak of Juan Diego, a simple indigenous peasant, on the hill of Tepeyac near Mexico City on December 12, 1531. Today it is displayed in the Basilica of Guadalupe nearby, the most visited Catholic shrine in the world.Our Lady of Guadalupe is patroness of Mexico, the Americas, preborn children, and the pro-life movement.The 1 1/2" square print has been encased in glass and soldered around the edges with a loop at the top for hanging wherever you wish, in the car at home, or setting in a shrine!
