The secret of this culinary specialty of Polish cuisine lies in the careful recipe based on fresh cucumbers, appropriately selected proportions of spices such as horseradish, dill, white mustard, garlic and classic salt pickle. Low-salt cucumbers are slightly salty and crunchy, after taking them out of the jar they look exactly like pickled cucumbers, only their center remains opaque due to the short pickling time. This is our Polish classic that can be prepared very quickly at home. Small-salt cucumbers need only 3 days to obtain the perfect flavor in the brine, while the pickled cucumbers should be stored in a cool place for several weeks (about 20 days). A simple recipe and a ready-made recipe will make even novices in the art of homemade preserves will do well, and the homemade cucumbers will taste like their mother's.
