There is a hook style closure at the back. The necklace weighs 126 grams. It is a solid and heavy piece. marked on the back is R Espino, Hecho en Mexico, S 925. There is a missing inlay piece on the lower right of the front - not very distracting according to my opinion. Priced accordingly.
