This RUMI Lighting LED Desk Lamp, Wireless Charger, Wireless Speaker White is in used, but good condition. In order to power the unit, you must use the power cord. You can turn off the colorful LED lights by pushing the power button twice. The unit will continue to play even with the lights off. The unit's wireless connectivity has been tested. I was able to connect the unit to the music on my Samsung Android using Bluetooth without a problem. You can adjust the sound quality of the music by using the equalizer on your phone. My Android does not have wireless charging capabilities. (to my surprise). In order to use the wireless charging with this unit, your Android phone must have Qi TechnoIogy. Just google your Android phone to see if it's is Qi-Compatible. I was able to use a friend's iPhone to test the wireless charging and the unit performed nicely. (See pictures above). It has nice sound quality. This is the kind of portable unit that you can take to your vacation cabin in the woods. I checked and Bluetooth does not rely on the internet to function ; it uses short-range radio waves to connect devices directly, meaning it works independently of internet connectivity.
