This is a RARE Antique Warwick IOGA Verbenia Seagull Double Handled Porcelain Vase circa 1904 made in Wheeling West Virginia. Warwick's IOGA wares were made between 1893 and 1911 and most of the ware had a brownish Sepia colored background. They made this vase in a series (just marked D1 on the base) consisting of White Ware with Various Birds. The vase measures approximately 9 inches in height, 9 inches across the handles at their widest point and 6 1/2 inches deep. Excellent condition, just crazing commensurate with age, This vase sometimes had a date of 1904 on the base. The vase has the IOGA mark, D1, and an impressed "Verbenia #1" on the base. Gold trim on the top lip (in good condition!) A rare striking and unusual piece by Warwick IOGA Porcelain!!
