Males typically weigh 53?76 kilograms (117?168 lb) and females 40?53 kilograms (88?117 lb). Sexually dimorphic, females are hornless and smaller than males. Males grow slender, lyre-shaped horns 45?92 centimetres (18?36 in) long. The horns, strongly ridged and divergent, are circular in section and hollow at the base. Their arch-like structure allows interlocking of horns, which helps a male throw off his opponent during fights; horns also protect the skull from damage. You will be receiving a skull from our inventory which is very similar to the photos on this listing. Sizes mentioned are averages. Some horns are longer than the others and some shorter. Nose bones are very fragile. Some skulls will have the nose bone and others will not. Also, sometimes the nose cap detaches but it can be easily glued. Mounting Options Some skulls are offered with either a metal or an acrylic mount which makes it possible to be displayed on a flat surface instead of hung on the wall. These skulls will be pre-drilled in the back for using the metal shaft to support it.
