In creating this impressive necklace I selected 8 mm Turquoise beads, 18 x 8 mm red sponge coral barrel beads, amber as a center drop and sterling silver findings including Bali beads, 4 mm round beads and a toggle clasp. I hand polished the 2 1/2" x 2" x 5/8" amber used as a focal point, making this necklace truely one-of-a-kind. The turquoise beads are likely hand polished and from China. The necklace is a long 26" and is impressive. Amber is soft so take care whren storing this necklace. The sponge coral barrel beads are crafted entirely from chunks of natural sponge coral. They are harvested in the deep sea, cut, ground, polished and color treated to give them that fiery orange glow. Natural variations and lines do occur on them but these only enhance the natural effects of these remarkable beads.
